I've figured out the custom user agent trick - I'll see about packaging it up, or at least writing a HOWTO, later this week.
This will be way easier than hacking away at the grob binaries, which seems to be the current usual solution.

This is very welcome, this is one of the things the native browser is missing, firefox is just to sluggish but as of now the only choise unlees you go for a hacky way.

The recently released Opera 12 can change the user agent to a set of premade ones (default, S60, Android, MeeGo and Desktop). No custom user agent though.
