Current new dev version tells "File header corrupted or not compatible" with new recorded sessions. The older recordings work.

Didn't update to latest version yet but with previous version (2.0-3) media player didn't start this morning. This is what I did:
  • opened app and verified settings
  • tapped on button "start recording"
  • on settings window activated alarm time
  • chose audio file for playback
  • pressed play button to check file (media player opened and played)
  • closed media player
  • activated media playback
  • applied settings and started recording
  • slept
  • pressed "stop" when alarm went off in the morning
  • nothing more happened.
I guess the media player should have been activated after stopping alarm, right? Or do I have to suspend alarm to get media file played?

Updated to current version (2.0-4) but it still can't read log of previous version (2.0-3). I had a look into the logfile and there was no media file entered for playback. Seems it didn't save that setting correctly (or maybe I tapped once too much on that entry - sometimes the desktop lags a bit and needs double tapping).

Hi all

I am sorry for the latest bugs.
As I am traveling around a lout those weeks, its hard to to test everything after every change.
I will fix those issues in the next version.

The records made with version 2.0-3 have a missing line and have to be fixed manually. To do so, open the record with a text editor and add an empty line line after line 9 (Lucid dream song delay).

Note:
The data for lucid dream and wakeUp are only entered, if they have been activated.
I am also looking into seeing if the media player could be replaced with an built in player. Also I would like to close it after the alarm occurred/after the lucid dream.

No need to, that's what's called work in progress

Works fine now! Thanks!

OK, so I just did wrong order as I first chose file to play and then activated that setting.

That could be fine but I don't think it's necessary. It would just blow up your app and you'd have more things to keep care of. As you already rely on ffmpeg why not using ffplay for playback? I guess it would be much faster for startup and you could give some cute arguments.

hi, could you please tell in short terms the last changes you made? I didn't try music wakeup last night but the night before (with older version) I had the same issue as mentioned by guyr above: mediaplayer got started over and over again, playing some seconds of the song and restarting again. It was quite difficult to stop that behaviour as I had to stop SleepAnalyser which was only possible when first quitting mediaplayer. One has to be quite fast to do that!

Another two suggestions:
Could you fit the trigger level to the other numberings? Actually the level is set to roughly 1/10 of the other values. Would be nice if you could suite the level to the other values so all of them are consistent.

Could you anyhow offer the ability to execute an arbitrary programm as alarm? I would really love the combination of SleepAnalyser with EvilAlarm! As of now I can only set a fixed time to EvilAlarm and have to decide wether to get up reliable or to get up smooth

This should be fixed in the recent version. If not, please let me know.
The changes I made are minor, mainly bug fixes and UI changes.
Also some minor speed improvement on record rendering.

Thats a great idea, I will have a look on it.

I can implement to add a external application, that should be quite easy.
Is it possible to run EvilAlarm from command line and set off an alarm immediately? Could you have a look if that is possible?
