Hey all. My apologies if this has been covered here before.
If I install either of the titan or the Lehto kernels the wireless interface refuses to connect to any of my saved WAPs. Even scanning for wireless networks doesn't work, none of the networks appear anymore. As soon as I reinstall the stock kernel I'm able to connect to the WAPs again. With either custom kernel installed, I've ifconfig'd up and down several times, removed and reinserted the modules, etc. and no dice. Everything else appears to work properly, but no wireless.. Any takers? I'm stuck...

Some script runs on your phone in background and it executes "grep -i Information". Taking into account a huge process ID (14390) it looks like it cycles fast (failed start-restart-restart-... ?)

It is difficult to say what is it. I suspect it has nothing with overclocking but rather with some another application (probably unsuccessfully deleted).

Hi,
how can i use ext3 or4 on my memory card with the new titan kernel?

After formating my n900 says something like "unknown file type" in my language.

I only wan to use it for the memory card, so i dont need an entry in fstab?

ok now i got titans kernel working.

i am using the ideal kernel 500-950.

i changed the max freq from 850 to 950.

so far no problem with my phone. its flying like an angel.

But right now i need help from you guys about 2 questions.

1: how can i perma choice 500-950 ??
because when i reboot phone it goes to default ideal with 500-850.

2: why do the phone switch between 500 and 950 mhz so much??? even when the phone is in idle and cpu usage is like 3-5%.

Can i choice when the 950 should go on?? like 30 or higher % cpu usage activates the 950 mhz and under 30 % cpu usage the phone goes only in 500 mhz.

because right now it seems my phone never goes to idle. because it uses 950 mhz too much even when no programs are open.

I have exactly the same queries as HD.Canson above. Moreso point 1.

Have titans kernel working with ideal configuration at 500-850.

I cannot beleive the difference in speed. Its so fast! Would recommend to everyone!

No noticeable difference in temperature either.

The other issue i have is when playing videos i get the "unable to play media file, format not supported" error after approx 2 seconds of video playback. After switching to the other titan low voltage profiles and messing with the frequencies i got the video playback back at 599 MHz but as soon as the ideal config is applied to 500-850....same problem. However this time lower resolution videos work, and higher resolution videos dont :S

Any help with this one?

**EDIT - Could this be to do with the DSP does anyone know if the ideal settings affect the DSP frequency?

Through the application manager i downloaded and installed the enhanced linux kernel and also kernel-power-settings.

I beleive the kernel-power-settings contain the configurations you need.

See:

http://wiki.maemo.org/Overclocking#I...hanced_kernels

for for the installation and configuartion instructions.

Yes, this has probably with too low voltage to the DSP. Try raise the voltage under VSEL for the 850mhz and see if it get's better.
