Android App Market App sizes have increased to 4GB. This is great news for game developers and other apps that rely on large amounts of data!

Maybe now gameloft will consider it a viable option?

Gameloft is so good at copying!

Enter Shadow Gaurdian for Android:

This is clearly modeled after Uncharted or Just Cause... Either way it looks like it would be damn fun to play!

Here's a look at Honeycomb in Google TV:

http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/11/g...-honeycomb-ui/

That's a MUCH better interface than the first one. Night and day.

I started talking with my girlfriend about google TV this morning. If I can find a solid box for $199-$299, it would be worth picking up, and enhance our theater experience significantly.

I don't think that they can really do much, but all they need is one judge who doesn't understand it to side with them. Certainly a lot of potential for abuse of the system. Enough to convince a judge to let them go fishing?
On the other hand, the RIAA went PMS-style crazy when Amazon started selling MP3's.. and now they resigned to admitting it works, much to their own grumbling chagrins. I suspect Google is trying to pull an Amazon by DOING FIRST and asking for forgiveness later.

That's a LARGE part of the problem with the RIAA's ravaging war against piracy--they often don't CARE that you bought your music... they have a very bizarre "downloading is stealing" mantra going on that would actually be pretty bizarre and dangerous if people believed it. Thankfully, it seems most people do not.. but it doesn't stop them from bringing them into court and settling with people--whether innocent or guilty or anything in between.

I'm really looking forward to this. If not just to control my speakers, lights, and home theater, this would be killer.
Dude... I'm thinking like... that Rock Band stage kit they made for the XBOX 360 where it had lights and fog machine! Only your ANDROID APPS (like... Rockband for Android) would control your already-existing home lighting and other relevant devices!

That could be very cool! ...or very terrifyingly bad. heheh

Here's an interesting tidbit from the Google IO Android fireside chat:
There are no plans to support OpenCL!

This is actually quite disconcerting, as openCL will be a major part of the upcoming SoC featuresets and can enable some fantastic performance and lower power management.

This feels like the Android position on GPU acceleration all over again. I'm guessing there will be some time before it's supported. Here's hoping that plans change..

Finally! Android 3.1 supports FLAC natively:

http://www.ubergizmo.com/2011/05/and...udio-natively/

Lossless... Mmmm...

As a person with more than a few FLAC tracks, I'm happy with this news..
