However I do have a concern, these updates show up automatically and one could accidentally hit update all and this would install. For me I do not want to install this just yet, I would rather wait out a couple of these and install when some of the kinks are worked out.
I also read in places people having to run comparability test or something like that, however if this update becomes available and a user clicks install, that should be it.
It should ask you to back everything up, then upgrade the OS and then you should be left with your phone "Exactly" as it was just with the updated OS.
You should not have to do anything else at all.

wow...
1. my microb seems to be working normally... i click on the web shortcut and the bookmarks window appear. no empty generic window of any kind though... in fact... I feel the microb to be EXTRA responsive after this CSSU thingy... hehehe
2. power consumption... i don't find it any lower with my current settings... I have facebook widget, calendar, conversations, dataplan monitor, systemui monitor... i think these are the only ones that use up cpu every now and then... i've been using it EXTRA these few days thanks to this new update and trying things out.... it lasts me for a full day... i have to recharge probably just after 24 hours.. I can't say that it has dropped BECAUSE of the CSSU but i can definitely say that there is NO Improvement in battery life.

I would advise the people who make these updates to atleast fix something instead of break everything that can be broken.
It is not wise to install this at all.

I am a bit troubled here...
How can i check whether CSSU been installed? I have been reading this thread after installing the CSSU and I'm not having anykind of problems with my n900.

yeah the mail app does seem kind-of messed up. sent a test message fine, if you don't count the attachment or message text :\
