I have "changed" my statement once. At the moment I was informed that there won't be a distribution of the Harmattan Developer Device at the MeeGo Conference.
Together with that new information I classified my original source as either wrong or too slow, so I basically said that you should take my other information with a grain of salt.
Afterwards all the information I had from the original source was confirmed more than enough by other sources.
edit: and I just asked if he is serious. I think a justified question when he basically said that nobody would stop Apple from dominating the world.

the worst is that i'm perfectly calm and resolute to make them admit that they don't have any facts which so ever to underpin what they are posting.

as to the Apple remark, if i hadn't been so busy w/ the other posts, i would have @ least pointed out that lately ANDroid seems to overrun even Apple

meaning, this looks a lot more evolved then ANY MeeGo i have seen so far...
Plus, there's no real MeeGo handset out there to compare to, and even less Harmatan.
Whereas grid multitasking (in the vid) is much more like maemeego.
That's just my opinion on "it doesn't look like MeeGo".

i cannot wait for june 24th! 3 more weeks!
in the mean time, heres a flash from the past: if i could build a phone check it out, added a radar ... yup! id do it in a heartbeat and open up all the drivers for my friends here at TMO!
anyway, i fully expect that this device will not have an omap3 (which was the plan from 2009) and that is one if not my main concern, b.w that and memory and physical connectivity

Yes Meego will FAIL without Maemo IMHO. Problem is that what shall Nokia say too the consumers if theyr not even allowed to call it Meego compatible?

Too mee its obvious Meego needs Maemo Harmattan! But it looks to me Intel doesnt give a **** atm. Maybe they dont care about Meego future anyway?
They have a planB Android anyway.
In a way I can uunderstand Intel but at the same time its plain stupid war going on.
Both companys are LOOSERS!
it is an alternative for small computer / touch screen devices at large to ANDroid / Chrome or m$.
it will probably survive on this basis alone
add to that that some of the companies which manufacture those devices also manufacture smart phones and might be glad to have an alternative to Google or m$ for that as well ,
if Intel can enter the phone market, which may also happen by the small door, nettops & other "Atom class" devices getting smaller and smaller until they eventually can be used as (smart) phones as well, MeeGo may also establish itself there.
if push come to shove, this may even happen without NOKIA
