agree in some way about target market. But thats not a fulfill Nokia paradigm of so called "computer' - try to compare N900 with the first computer.

Anssi called N900 a step between N97 and 3G Booklet (correct if I'm not remember this point from keynote right). Actually, N900 it isnt such step now for ordinary consumer. We could see potential of platform, regular user face everyday routine like music player, calculator, phonebook etc. They couldnt take into consideration that this high end computer is not smart enough to have the same features like N97 and have less of them.

My lesson from Nokia that produce less than one million units means that you made not a good device And that device wouldnt be launch on market (take it with a pinch of salt, depends from the product and strategy).

Maemo5 good for techi (like N810 previously), but not ready for bigger audience. I see some results from my friends/family - from exciting they a little bit bored with N900 nowadays. Missing some things which I dont need actually (but they are normal/ordinar consumers of S60 products, not techi).

So I see only one issue - it would be on sale for a wider audience than you describe as target. And it will be for sure a lot of negative feedbacks. Thats really bad for Maemo. Some feedbacks will be a real one, some initiating by yours competitors. Lets see.

It's not only about a time of development next versions, it's also a story about establish ground for next devices (example of Apple is really good in that case, rubbish device on start with simple/aestetic interface win the market - technically for 2 years it was bad designed phone). I see now that ground is not so strong how it could/have to be.

P.S. I believe that you will sold volume which Nokia planned for N900. Without any questions. But I do not believe that next devices would be a next big things if you not build ground for them (now you even not trying to do that (expirience of Palm Pre is great, they denied to sell device not to target audience).

My expirience that iPhone 4G is better than answer from Nokia side (in terms of hardware 4g win - faster CPU, more RAM, screen is almost the same, but they also have ecosystem - will develop such devices as gaming platform). Check latest benchmark about iPhone 3Gs (think you know where to look for them A little bit ahead with old hardware (pretty old in my point of view). Samsung will come out with faster devices soon (Linux based).

It means that for future products/sales you have to create ground today, not tomorrow. And in that direction Nokia/Maemo is not very successfull. At least, from my point of view. In any case, we will see that clearly in autumn 2010.

Um, HD (1080p) releases are coming in at 9-12 GiB right now. Ten years from now we will have many times that storage available in our mobile phones. Just think about it, 10 years ago we barely had over 1 GiB in our desktop computers.

I also assume that you are familiar with Moore's law.

I still don't understand why users are so intent on all the flaming etc. It's obvious Eldar isn't going to divulge where he got the N900 (yet?). As a mobile phone junkie I am very used to getting the first look proto overview/review from mobile-review.ru and to be honest there are very few complaints from most people about Eldar and his site except that maybe he is biased towards Nokia.

I think its safe to say that many mobile bloggers/internet journalists etc would kill to have access to the devices they get over at mobile review and if the trade off was not divulging where they get the devices from then so be it.

You were talking about storage on mobile devices. We already have room for two very high res movies on our phones and within 3-4 years we will have ~0.5 TiB of storage on our mobile phones.

Other than that, I don't really know what incoming/outgoing network traffic has to do with this?!
