Every so often, I get the following error:

Code:
[100561.609313] dspbridge: timed out waiting for mailbox
[100561.859588] WMD_DEH_Notify: ********** DEVICE EXCEPTION **********
[100561.859619] WMD_DEH_Notify: DSP_SYSERROR, errInfo = 0x300
This time it happened after removal of mass storage mode. Gets back to normal after a reboot.

if i ran this script on my n900 it wouldnt try to flash this rootfs would it?

also how high have some people pushed there DSP? since when I overclocked mine i noticed changes in the UI and hopefully I'll notice changes in flash play back. am running at 600mhz at the moment

600MHz is the max for the DSP. And, NO, it won't flash your rootfs, it's safe.

I compiled a custom kernel allowing me to overclock DSP above 600 MHz. The absolute maximum is 790, above which kernel refuses to set the clocks. But running it at 790 is pointless, high profile h264 still stutters from time to time. And 600 is pretty enough for 720p recording, it is not DSP which is the tight point, still not found why framerate is about 18-20 fps.

Hm, I guess somewhere we run out of bandwidth? What kind of bus is the camera connected to?
But still quite nice achievement for hardware not designed for it.

Agree, definitely we run out of bandwith. But AFAIK hardware is designed to support 720p, maybe it is the memory which is underclocked. On the other hand preview runs 1280x720@30 fps smoothly, so it seems it is not camera bus which is problematic. Most probably it s the bus between memory and DSP (DSP uses DMA). Didn't have time to look at the issue these days.
