i have tv programs saved on the net, and when i try to watch them with N900 microb says "missing vlc plugin" i have vlc installed. and if i try to open an url in vlc player, it does nothing, possibly because the site needs a username and a password. so is it possible to install vlc plugin for firefox or opera browsers? or is there something else i could do to watch the programs with N900?

anybody know about the high CPU usage? i cant seem to find out how to stop it from dinging the whole proc.

Yes I agree. I totally forgot about VLC coming to n900

Can I request that Rock Player be ported over instead? Finding that is better performance than anything in the Maemo camp..

same problem here. as soon as i open vlc the cpu usage goes up to 100% (even without playing any video files).
didn't find any solution to this problem yet.
