We're going to run a beginner's contest in parallel with the main coding competition. It's a smaller competition and only for folks who are creating their first N900 applications, not for veterans, and anyone eligible who wishes to enter can let me know by adding a "Y" to that column. These projects will automatically be entered into both contests, the main coding one and the side beginners one. I hope that makes sense

Hi, I would like to join the competition with my navigation ap, modRana
UPDATE: I just PMed Kojacker from garage, hope it gets through.
I don't see Destroid in the list
Could he add himself here? Or should I do it? His game gets positive reviews, and it would be a pity if it didn't enter the competition because of not being in the table.
So it's not required to be a newbie in programming in general to enter the beginners competition? Just that it's the first N900 app?
SallyJane: I've got two donations from you, each 20,00€. So in total 40,00€.
Is that correct?
I'm submitting a package for the Maemo Coding Competition 1 (http://wiki.maemo.org/Maemo_Coding_Competition_1). As stated by the Rules:
+ Entries to be submitted no later than Wednesday July 21 Midnight Greenwich time.
+ Entries will only be accepted for the following formats: Nokia N900.
+ Already released software must have a substantial upgrade from previous releases to qualify for judging and must also contain a list of changes the author has made to the previous version. [it's not already released software]
+ Submitted entries should be accompanied by a forum post [which is why I'm writing here]
+ pm to competition organiser and/or a text file with the authors email [have PMed as well]
? PayPal address (can be retrieved later) [later]
+ the name of the software [eye4]
+ and a brief description of the software [A simple Qt application for testing eyes vision acuity.].
-- If this entry text file is packaged with your project, this file should be called "entry.txt". You should also provide a brief description of your work done and, if possible, a screenshot to be used in the voting thread. [no such file included in the package]
+ Entries that are not stand alone software will have to include any libraries or files required to run, or they should be easily available via the normal Maemo.org and Nokia repositories. Clear instructions will have to be provided. In the case of interpreters and emulators copyrighted files should not be included. [easily available via the normal Maemo.org and Nokia repositories - libqt4-core (>= 4.5.2), libc6 (>= 2.5.0-1), libgcc1 (>= 4.2.1), libqt4-gui (>= 4.5.2), libstdc++6 (>= 4.2.1), hildon-application-manager]
+ Coding competition entries marked as beginner will also automatically be entered into the beginners contest. Entries to the beginners competition must be the authors first released coding project(s) for the N900, and must have been released between the competition start and end dates.
