Hi, just my input on the subject.

I have the horizontal lines and partially corrupted pics quite often. I had Bless and fcam drivers like a year ago but removed both.
Tried everything like:
- fsck and defrag the memory
- remove all pictures and music (just in case the tracker was corrupting them since i had 3-4 gigs of pictures)

This is happening before the camera-ui2 even started being developed and in a freshly installed system. I always take two-three pictures of the same thing to be sure I have one good copy!
Any ideas to try would be appreciated - maybe I should start a new thread..

On the latest (3 May) camera-ui2 version, my only comment is on the change of the measuring of the distance.
In the latest, I see the distance on the top right only after taking the photo and the system is ready to take a new photo. In the previous, it was calculating it after every zoom. Is that right? I also liked the green color which was more visible.

@Santhan
Ask MohammadAG, he is the one who packages
the CSSU.

Are you sure the drivers are removed and not just the blessn900
UI?

Which green color?
The text with the distance measurement was white, always.
And for me, the measuring updates always after pushing the
focus button (you have to press and hold the focusbutton for
0.5 seconds to start autofocus)

Might be useful for those not sure on the step:

open an xterm then copy-paste each line:

Code:
sudo gainroot
mkdir camera-ui2
cd camera-ui2/
wget -O camera-ui.tar.gz "http://talk.maemo.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=19935&d=1304966081"
tar -xzf camera-ui.tar.gz
cp camera-ui /usr/bin/
ls -l /usr/bin/camera-ui
the result should be:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 196901 2011-05-09 21:12 /usr/bin/camera-ui

now reboot..

I believe so. Should not be enough if I do (?):
~ $ dpkg -l fcam*
No packages found matching fcam*.

Is there any other way for me to test?

Yes you are right. Checked again and the value updates if you lift the finger after a zoom.
On the green, it might be my mind playing tricks - the frame was green.
Sorry for that..

I just asked because once apt-get remove blessn900 hasn't
uninstalled fcam-drivers for me.

Are only images on the sd card corrupted?
Maybe the card is faulty.

Thanks for taking the time to answer on my bizarre problem.
The card seems to be ok (at least don't have anything else corrupted and checks pass) and it only happens on photos. I'm wondering if there is some firmware flashed in any of the chips that make that.

I've checked on the bless thread and noticed that some more people complain about the same. e.g. http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...9&postcount=33

Last question and I'll move elsewhere
could someone with a 'clean' system give the output of the following?

Code:
ls -al /lib/firmware
ls -al /lib/dsp
Don't know if it is really relevant but mine looks like that:
Code:
Nokia-N900:/# ls -al /lib/firmware
