viipottaja @ MR-Forum hinted that the „N9/ION“ will have a GPU. Sounds nice. So there is still hope for a hdmi port! Question is if it’s strong enough to handle 1080p.

Does anyone still believes that this device is going to be released in the state that Nokia is in? And for what purpose? Future disruptions are planned and well executed large corporate projects like Android, iOS, iPhone, 3g, GSM and so on, they are not something that "happens" due to some hardware that is soon to be obsolete. We haven't seen many future disruptions on the N900, or N8xx.

N950 = Vaporware

I have a few phones with HDMI - and so far I'm not impressed. It's working OK. But if you want excellent pitcture I think we have to wait a year or two.

the cool thing is that you can use the remote control for your tv to steer the phone

Only thing similar to iphone is that there isn't widgets for what we have heard so far.
I hear this discussed all the time and it's almost with unanimous agreement but I've yet to hear a clear argument why desktop multitasking is the best for mobile devices.

While iOS multitasking may not be true multitasking in the traditional sense for mobile devices I think it works well and the ability to maintain app state is clearly an advantage.

Why would it not be released?
Elop has been saying it all along. Actually just yesterday on D9 said that MeeGo device is going to be released this year. He possibly is even using that device himself.

As of anything else i don't care how it sells. I just want harmattan phone finally if the hw is up to the task.

1080p would be nice but I think most would be pretty happy if it could handle 720p.

Who says the MeeGo device will be Harmattan-based?

I don't say it's fact, just my preference.
I'm btw writing these messaged from my iphone 4.

Iphone 4 multitasking is not bad, but i wanna clearly see what apps i have on, not list of apps i have previously opened. Actually Android multitasking that i experienced on my GS is by far the worst there is.

As these devices are getting some serious umph inside i think having live multitasking where you leave webpage opening to the backround for example is sweet and able to easily see what apps are "live" is the way to go for me at least.
