Thanks, so not much then, im waiting for the 6615 bug fix to come, as the wifi cains the battery.

I just followed this here..

..and when it was done it asked me for time and date etc.

plus all of my apps, desktops and settings were gone.

If you read the thread, you will understand why this is such a small update.

The bug you mention isn't even marked fixed, so why would it be included in any case ?

That's reflashing it, which will remove all the apps & settings - this should only need to be done if there's a problem with the N900. If you use the built-in Application manager to perform the update then it doesn't touch your existing setup.

I guess its already answered a hundred times at least, but I want to be sure: If I upgrade to newer firmware OTA (get maemo5 pkg from hildon-app-manager), Am I going to lose all data, settings, applications etc?

Updated without any problem. Hopefully, the PR 1.1 does not take another 2 months or more for its release.

Just didn't have wifi and thought this would be the same.

extra-devel repo not working anymore

lost ogg support

generally slower

yeah good job nokia!!

im going to flash it back with the old firmware - if i can
