If deleting db file doesn't solve problem , try to unplug device from computer.That worked for me.

For German wazapp users:
T-Mobile have some trouble with messengers connection, i think he block all ports from.....wifi wazapp works, on mobile connection doesn't connect....and not at all t-mobile users

3. Which contract do you have? Is it "web and walk"?
If yes - they are forcing all connections to use a proxy server thus they are able to identify vpn, l2tp, pptp etc by using packet/header inspection.
If they only allow http/https you could still try to tunnel via ssh or connect to proxy at home on that port.
EDIT: Apparently T-Mobile UK also blocks ports. http://m.whatsapp.mobi/faq/de/iphone/20970448
I guess same issue for Germany.

some people like myself cant run wazapp that has a long contact list (contact list with more then 500 numers)
and some others just whining like always and no one cares to read them...

I subscribe all these words, but on my phone i got a red dots every 10 minutes, so i've to quit and reopen. It's a little bit annoying, i'm thinking to downgrade to 30 08 2012 in my opinion the most stable version (it has the mixed up contacts after media sending bug)

Idk how to do it but seems like Python takes too long to get contacts via API.Maybe we can catch contacts to the another file on registration part.Because accounts part of Wazapp didn't written with Python .And client can read the names and other information from a file , not from dbus.
But this time people have to register after adding a new contact.But i think devs can find a solution for that
