I'd go for "Community Applications" or "Community Software", because these are meaningful names.
In this forum, everyone knows what Maemo means, but the average mass-market N900 purchaser won't have a clue. Maemo, Fremantle, maemo.org, OS2008, Qt, it's just gobbledy-gook to them.
My wife wouldn't have a clue what Symbian is, even though it's been inside her last two phones. But she would understand "Community Applications".
