Though I can work through the Terminal (coming from Windows)... a GUI would be more useful honestly... with a few buttons (extract,add to archive, etc.) and a nice icon...

I was wondering, if there is a way, using these programs /7zip/unrar etc to extract a rar combination with different parts. The goal is to extract a movie, avi. It is compressed in 10 parts of rar files.. is it possible to extract example: ddf.part1.rar ddf.part2.rar they all contain small parts of the big movie.. if you know what i mean..

I've not used 7zip so I can't speak for that, but unrar certainly handles multi-volume RAR files without any problem. Just give it the first RAR file and it'll find the others automatically.
