I put the shower on max heat for a while and installed the screen protector inside the bathroom with the door closed. All the dust disappears!

Sorry for digging out this thread, but I lately also purchased an ARMR-200 screenprotector. I like it quite much, it feels a bit like the "Ultra Protect" protectors by Exim, just not as tough - but with a slightly better clarity.

The best thing about these protectors is the improved surface. It feels a bit like a piece of paper and to me it makes using the screen much more enjoyable. The screen itself isn't as clear as it would be with a DQC-160 type of protector, but that helps with the outside usage of this phone. In addition to me it appears "tougher" than the very clear kind of protectors - or at least if it scratches, you shouldn't notice it as much.
It is kind of funny that 3M states the DQC-160 is more scratchresistent than the ARMR-200, although the later one feels stronger.

The view on the screen looks a bit crystaline, it is hard to describe... my IPS panel monitor I am sitting in front of at the moment also has a similar texture on it, while my older TN panel was "clear". While the description says the protector is prone to finger prints, that is not the truth. The fingerprints are less annoying and - while the screen is on - they are harder to spot. But they are still noticably and you still need a good cleaning method to get rid of them.


After all I really enjoy the ARMR-200 and would reorder it. Only problem for me was the rather tricky installation, the Exim protectors are much easier to install IMO. So I got quite some bubbles, especially on the edges.

The installation of the protector was quiet easy. The foil sucks itself to the screen and I got no bubbles wathsoever. BUT my reseller from Amazon.de Freyzeichen who cut it, cut it so that the right side would be to long, so I cut something of with a knife. However this made things worse because now there was a 2-3 mm thick stripe of protector that had no contact to the display.

Got a privacy screen protector, I rather have those instead.

I have a martin fields. So far, the best. Not a single bubble, and can't even tell its on there.

They are kinda expensive to get to the usa, like $26 for 1 with shipping.

I have tried the invisible shield/zagg on a previous phone. They are terrible.

the vikuiti scrrens are FAR FAR BETTER in every single way.

mf scratches, i had mine on for a day and it had a hole immediately. this is with no coins no drops. also the screen holds dirt, although the insallation was easy i did order the 3m protectors that day the hole appeared. the dcq is very nice and clear i had one for about 6 months and it worked well just got sick of the curling edges due to a poor install on my part...

the amr is nice i like the feel and the protection i have just installed mine this week however there is a weird oily film building that doesnt come off still much better than the mf which was like taping cellophane to the n900. how can you clean the amr, both the mf and dcq you could wipe with a microfiber and be done this on just traps the grease and finger oil and wont let it go. i dont itsk still better than the 2 mfields i used...

Sorry to gravedig this but I've been trying to apply the DQC-160.

Just applied it, and got it on good apart from one edge where it was raised up because of the air/water underneath. I did a wet apply, rinsed the protector and shook it off. However, now some time has gone by its raising up on the edges. My question is, if I leave it will these dry up after a day or so, and it'll go flush to the screen again? Or do I have to reapply? Thanks.
