BE VERY CAREFUL POLISHING PLASTIC SCREENS!!!
When I worked in the motorbike industry we had loads of guys who'd try to polish out scratches on their helmet visors and their attempts usually ended in total disaster.
Most plastic 'phone screens are like 'bike visors - they have a soft base layer with a hard 'anti-scratch' layer over the top. This layer is very, very thin. 'Plastic polishes', pads and cloths will tend to wear large patches of the anti-scratch layer off, exposing the soft plastic underneath which will then marr very, very quickly.
If you get a scratch you're better off leaving it. A suitable screen protector will cover up smaller scratches (Proporta one very good for this as it has a grained, anti-glare finish).
I use clear screens from uk-tek; very thin, hard and a very good fit. Once fitted carefully you have to look hard to notice that the screen is covered.
The uk-tek screens lack the feel of the the Proporta ones, but the improved clarity and drasticaly lower price does it for me. I guess you'd have to try both to make your own mind up.
Routine cleaning is best done by huffing on the screen and GENTLY polishing with a CLEAN and VERY SOFT cloth. Do not use window-cleaners like glassex/windowlene or any kind of abrasives...
I now use a CP 231 leather case to protect the phone but would again recommend a screen protector; all you need is a small piece of grit/sand to get into the case and you'll have a nasty scratch when you pull the 'phone out.
Never play without protection!

You could try a plastic polish scratch remover, search google. We use them at work on aircraft windscreens and canopy's, so a phone screen should be a doddle. All I will say is polishing out scratches is a long process, it isn't achieved in minutes!! Me personally, I use a screen protector!!

Well I tried to use a watch surface cleaner which is ment to get rid of scratches on the plastic watch lens. Just made it worse tbh, tried to polish it with a cotton ear bud and the cream. Don't bother.
