Firefox is the only browser than can log into the account section and when you click the "watch live" link the media player takes over and dies.

the link the media player is fed is somthing like:

rtsp://rtsp.optus-football.com.au/~ etc etc ~/wc_channel_a_h263.sdp

Its sad somtimes that theres so much exclusive support for the iPhone and Nokia getting no love
Where the link to start with the browser?
or what's the full rtsp link?
Thanks.

If one must have the BBC broadcasts, use this instead

i'm using www.justin.tv.com
there is also www.rojadirecta.org
there you just select the match you want to see
but it would only work with the links that says web (flash) or ustream or justin just click on play

You have to setup optus WAP, make a new GPRS connection using the fapn app.

Optus Zoo:
APN: wap.optus.net.au
Homepage: networker.optus.net.au/wap/index.wml
Connection mode: TCP with Proxy
Proxy IP: 202.139.83.152
Port: 8070

once thats setup goto web.optuszoo.com.au using firefox and follow the FIFA link. If theres a match on itll have a link to stream it.

Thanks so much for this mate. I've been trying to figure this out for about 2 weeks now without any luck. I had set up the WAP but Optus gave me the wrong details so it didn't do anything.

Have you tried this with a different media player at all? It's crashing on me too. It would be awesome if I could get this working because I get **** reception for SBS at my place and it doesn't work at all on digital so I've been watching all the games on the net and it's eating into my download limit.

ESPN uses Move Media Player which is a proprietary DRM plugin. It won't work on N900 (or desktop Linux for that matter). So forget about ESPN unless you can find a third-party (illegal) stream.
