You don't need to flash to do overclocking.

I can save you time by giving you direct instructions here:

Prerequisite: rootsh installed

Code:
(go to xterminal)
root
apt-get install kernel-power-settings
reboot
(after reboot, go to xterminal again)
sudo kernel-config limits 500 950
There you go.

You may alter the limits, but then you should read the corresponding document for safety.
