I am eagerly waiting for the Desire Z to hit german retailers. My N900 simply drives me crazy: Missed calls, sluggish OS, strange battery behavior and questionable support for the future.

The Desire Z looks really promising, if the keyboard is about the same quality the one of the Touch Pro 2 was - it is a real winner. Only thing which I am not sure about would be the opening mechanism. There are already a few reports out there the mechanism is too loose or does not really work in certain situations. Also I am wondering about the long term longevity of the whole thing. If one is opening the keyboard a few dozen times per day: How will the hinge system hold up after six or twelve months?
The 3.7" is a nice thing to have, it will be a pain for me to learn the capacitive screen though.
