I seem to remember something about having to delete my existing account before upgrading... Could you elaborate on this (again), so I don't have to sift through a few dozen threads to find the original posting?

I changed how TOR registers with the system in such a way as it will get confused if you try to use an old account with it.

Delete account, upgrade, create account should make it work

epage, GREAT WORK. Had to laugh at the webpage where it states some of the shortcomings of DialCentral, I've been using it religiously on my SIM-less N900 but have to agree that it was lacking a certain something. Can't wait to play with TheOneRing and put it through its paces.

The fun part is I hardly ever send texts and if I do, I'm almost always at my computer and I end up using the gv website . I still heavily use Dialcentral for making calls.

Do note Dialcentral now has one feature that TOR can't use on Maemp 5, broadcasting SMS messages. If/when they had MUC to Maemo 5 I might add support within TOR.

Just installed the version from extras- 0.8.8-0 and noticed that unlike other im plugins I cannot set my own avatar image, is this something that will be supported in the future?

Also I noticed that the screen name you enter seems to get ignored and it just shows the phone number each time.

Everything installed perfectly and it looks like it works good as well. Thanks, Dialcentral is nice but this is cool to have GV built right in.

What does a screen name and an avatar mean when calling and texting?

Because of that I use the screen name to control the callback number used with calls.

Nothing major but when you im via google voice even though you have the screen name set to something else it always defaults to the phone number - your formatted phone number takes up a decent bit of screen real estate in the conversations ui...

Means nothing for calling.

You can file an enhancement request on that. The main alternative is to present an unformatted number though how friendly those are is to be determined.

Also when filing keep in mind whether this requested change should also be applied to people you text but aren't on your contact list.

Found a bug: Steps:
-> Do whatever it takes to get a network error (change wifi in quick succession)
-> Do whatever it takes to workaround network error (select TOR account and save after making trivial changes)
-> TOR reconnects as expected.
BUT!:
-> I get notifications from TOR about "new" IMs that I have received - even though those IMs (SMS / voicemail / whatever else) were old ones, and I already had all of them in my conversations list.
-> Also, now when I open every "new" IM from TOR, I see the same message twice or thrice or more - depending on the number of times I have faced a Network error

In the latest version I tried to simplify my logic for judging whether a message has been read or not (thanks Google for bugs that I have to work around!). I could see having added a bug related to this. Mind sending me a log so I can see why I might have gotten it wrong?
