i can sense that now htc and samsung will be jumping on the meego wagon very soon. since google declared that it will acquire motorola that makes these other oem vendors face a competition with motorola even tougher. looks like google is heading apple's way of one house of software and hardware. before all these other vendors were competing based on the hardware since they all used google OS and now its a very sketchy if or not google will make some of its service exclusive to moto handset only to boost its hardware sales (i hope they do), that means it will be ticking off these other vendors and also since Nokia doesnot have clear path of meego and somewhat declared(un spoken) that they are not supporting meego. Now these other vendors have what android was started with free open source OS which they can pry upon. man this day is getting better and better by minute. now hurry up samsung and htc declare already that you all will have meego based handset by the end of this year.

what does meego offer samsung that bada doesn't?

qt, yes, but they'll have the confidence to do that anyway once the open governance model is in place.

What does this mean for Nokia, looking more likely MS will buy it you reckon?

I would love to know the answer to this too. Bada outsold WP7. And at a lower price than any WP7 phone.

MeeGo seems to be aiming for higher priced tiers. Fix that, maintain the ecosystem that Intel wants to put in place, then MeeGo might be a problem for other mobile OS's out there.

I doubt it - they are selling quite a few Android phones and already have R&D invested.

It would be nice to be wrong though.

that doesn't seem to be slowing bada adoption, already faster/better than WP7. meego is indeed another story, having sold nothing yet.

eh? Bada may have sold more yes, but WP7 is by far a better OS from what I've seen. And what do you mean by faster?
