yesterday with the current patch, some player was choppy when fam was installing update.

earlier this was not happening.

i vote for removing the values. I have already done and feel it to be more responsive.

karam

today, i tried to multitask as i would have done the previous script. running on the same clockspeed as i usually do...and things aren't as smooth as before. in fact, i dare to say, not even close. browsers become VERY unresponsive after 3+ windows while availability is online and things are generally slow and unresponsive compared to before...

the previous script gave a better experience.

Hmm thank you guys for testing and replying

i will remove the values and make a patch with only patched /root/.profile
looks like epitaph values didn't do a good thing after all

i will update the patch as soon as i'm not busy (about 6 hours from now)

EDIT :
the advantage of the values might be a longer hildon-home life
maybe ?

EDIT2:

AAmmmm i have put a poll
But 2 serious problems

1-) delet should be delete
2-) how the hell should i be able to remove it ?
loool

I have not tested with the values changed, but I can tell this for very sure. This speedpatch is not so impressive as the older one. I could see the sluggish behaviour of the maemo which was there before the very first speedpatch. I couldn't even open 8 simultaneous tabs( 4 web browsers + 2 conversations + HAM + XTerminal ) before which i could find the mobile unresponsive. I assume that the change in the values is the major change in this patch and so voting to delete the values.

honestly,

what were the added values supposed to do? if I were to decide between extension of hildon-home life and general fluidity in multi-tasking, i'll choose the latter...

with the previous patches, i could multitasking fluidly almost without any hiccups. with 8+ browsers, all accounts online, FAM, tweego, facebook, music player... SMOOTH. that's better right?

I prefer testing it in real-life usage... it could have good values there... but my experience in using it I think is a little bit more important. I still stand true to what I said before this and indeed the multitasking is not as fluid as before. As to what constitutes to that effect, I'm honestly not sure. All I know is, before the newest patch, it was fluid, now not so much. It's OK, it's not COMPLETELY horrible or anything... but noticeably slower and NEARLY caused my hildon-home to crash a few times... had to go easy on the apps open
