I'm with titan v3.7 and N900 is warm.
Same kernel, starving profile. So far at 805mhz, device never got warm.

But thanks for the laugh
If you start crashing unexpectedly AT ALL with that configuration, I think it would mean that you are NOT ok. If you seem to be fine, without a lot of overheating, I would guess you ARE ok.

You seem to imply that the combination of that frequency with starving is especially hazardous. I think that they are two separate issues. Starving doesn't work for me, for example, even without overclocking (I am pretty sure). Everyone has to test and judge their own device.

I think I could probably go with 1+ Ghz overclocking, but I stay with 850 mhz. That makes me feel safe. And ideal voltage, which is much as I can do without crashing from time to time.

So far I never had a crash when choosing the frequency at starving. It works stable at 1.15ghz, I tested for max of 10 min and went back to 805mhz imediatelly, and never moved from there. I wanted to hear sideffects if there are any like heat issue at the higher frequency. Knowing that my device runs stable at 1+ ghz with the lowest votages makes me wanna increase. It's eating me inside

ive been running at 850 with the slightly tweaked voltages per jakimans recommendation for a month or so now, and today I noticed it doesnt go above 600. stupid slow phone... a sudo reboot didnt change anything... ill try rebooting again... and if it still doesnt work, ill re enter the terminal command... has this happened to anyone else?

after a few days using the Low Voltage profile, with minimum clock 500Mhz and maximum clock 900Mhz, the /opt partition has gone to hell

Hi just picked up a n900 was following a guide to overclock and install a custom kernel but when i select Enhanced linux kernel for power users (settings) from application manager it says there is conflicts with applications packages:

Kernel-modules-meamo
kernel-maemo
Kernel-modules-meamo
kernel-maemo

That wasn't a typo application manager actually says both of them twice so i guess i need to remove these packages before installing the custom kernel or does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it I've read a couple post on this thread about the problem but didn't see resolve the problem.

Also i don't have fcam installed.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Been running mine for a few week at 950....with no issues..ha so far anyway. No crashing, freezing or heat.

And here in UK weather is cooling down so thats the heatsink covered...

besides having to reinstall lots of stuff, it seems i might also have caused some permanent damage, already the second random reboot now...
