I hope I am wrong but I think that N9 will be another buggy failure:

Its a first rendition of Harmattan, hence given their history with other phones, it is bound to be buggy

The UI will not be as smooth as iphone, hence ship it to the Third World

Email will not provide provisioning, hence some corporate users will be left in the cold.

Battery life will be comparable to N900, a big minus for a power user.

The device will freeze randomly and require frequent reboots.

The microsim tray looks plastic, unlike high quality iphone metal tray, will break and be a pain to replace.

All of the above are based on my experiences with other Nokia phones, including n900. I see no reason, WHY should N9 be different

i don't believe that...
And you're right...

Actually, that's the information that appears on the N9 result page on toppreise.ch, but if you chose one of the results (for example Cyan 16GB) and look at the first few shops, most of them indicate "(currently) not available", "more than one week" or "announcement"... That kind of info makes more sense to me than the "up to one week" that one or two shops displays...

@BigBadGuber: It's traditional to cite our sources. Care to name the time traveller/ seer that supplied you this info?

Also, I'm not in the habit of jumping up and down on my sim card tray and have better coordination than a newborn kitty on crack, so I don't care if it's plastic. I don't really know what you do on your precious iphone to consider the metal tray necessary.

You're assuming that it won't, but what limited evidence we have suggests that it might.

I know you haven't received a great answer to your question from Nokia (has anyone received a great answer to any of their N9 questions?), but it's FUD to say that it won't until you know it won't.

iPhone 5 will:

* Have poor build quality.

* Have poor sound quality.

* Have a limited feature set.

* Have a dumbed down UI.

* Be completely dependent upon a slow and buggy piece of software called iTunes.

All of this is based on my personal experience with an iPod Nano.

Hey Guffaw, when in your sig you say "Owner of N9", what does that mean exactly?

I too vote for Elophone

The board is going to have a pink elophone in the room once they make that magenta prototype, it will be so fitting.
