It's gonna be funny when there's more demand for the Dev version of the N9 than the "lankku".

Dev version is called "Dali".

I can only hope that Lankku is better in SoC and RAM than Dali.
If not, all it might end up is just a Dali without a hw keyboard.

from what have been said in the last few weeks that might be the case. i suppose Lankku is just an over clocked Dali without a keyboard and „worse“ camera.

EDIT if anyone says meego isnt ready for consumer maemo is
It's just the beginning of meego as far as the rest of the manufacturers are concerned and we've already got tablets, netbooks, a bunch of car manufacturers signed up for ivi, tv's, a dvr, and they were talking about breaking into the boat and cruise liner market at the meego conference. Handset is just lagging behind. It's just a matter of time before the momentum starts increasing and the handsets start coming out. Plus I think we are going to be seeing double and triple OS devices.

All the evidences point to that and make me sad

If the SoC/Ram it's the same i think that i will find a method to buy the keyboard one, i don't care about alleged tactile feedback or whatever it uses, I prefer a REAL keyboard.

I hope that there is some way to officially buy the Lankku if someone is interested.

i am sure that you will be able to buy the „Lankku“, but it seems like „Dali“ will not be sold . as Nokia stated there will be just one meego device this year.

But i still wonder what was so outdated about Dali that it was cancelled? K123 said it had hardware from 2010, but what about Lannku? it doesn’t seem to have hardware of 2011.

To confirm, what do you think you know about Lankku's hardware? Is there any evidence (for or against) that it has the same hardware as Dali, without a keyboard and (according to the above) a worse camera?

Meego has zero presence in the real world right now. WP7 has a much bigger presence and MSFT is smart/big/rich enough to compete with Google/Apple. Look what they did with xbox. Heck, even Google admits WP7 is their biggest thread over any other OS. So sit back and watch it unfold. That's all we can do I'm giving Elop the benefit of the doubt for now.

But yeah, I would prefer Harmattan over WP7 even though I haven't even properly seen/used one yet. But that's me. =p
I do not think going wp7 is a bad idea ....but discrediting maemo/meego ...even symbian....is not wise IMO

what we know from k123: 8 MP Af CZ Camera and FWGA resolution. and he is quite sure lankku won’t have a dual core soc. it is not an evidence, but all the clues are pointing in that direction (that hardware of Dali and lankku are almost identical)
