I made the test of get out of statusbar the "large clock statusbar" and it didn't reset in a few days. Then, I put it again in the statusbar but first I deleted all alarms, and it reset again (so, It doesn't seem that the problem is on the alarms).

This app is really nice but something is wrong on it.

Any one knows any solution to this? Any workaround or any idea about which is the problem?

Avalon: The problem is, it does not seem to be consistent across all installs of an application. I never have the problem with statusbar-clock, but often have it with Modest. Also, even if you don't have any alarms set, statusbar-clock checks for alarms every time it updates the time (once a minute), so alarms can't be entirely ruled out.

Maybe this week I will make a version without alarms what-so-ever for testing so people with the problem related to statusbar-clock can see if it is alarm related or not.

I have not had any desktop restarts since my last post. The problem for me was modest.

Yes, unfortunately it was the problem for you

I am not having desktop resets since a week or so, I never installed Modest because I use Claws, but nevertheless had a good number of desktop resets in the past few weeks

Not that is something very hard to recover but it is very annoying

I've been running Modest since I bought my N810. Yesterday I installed fiferboy's statusbar-clock (without setting alarms) and the desktop resets started.

Today I disabled statusbar-clock and everything is working OK again. It's a pitty because I really liked statusbar-clock.

Is anyone seeing this symptom again?

I just upgraded to Diablo, and I'm getting the dreaded "screen burp" again, where the IT:

1 - goes to a white screen
2 - loses its screen configuration
(all applets disappear from the screen)
(status bar goes back to the factory defaults)

Reboot brings the former (personalized) configuration back, applets and all.

This time around, I can point to the precise point at which the burp occurs for me: Every time I try to change the settings in OMWeather, it happens. It even happens a second time if I try changing OMWeather's settings before rebooting.

Has anyone seen this? Can someone try changing their OMWeather settings and see if it happens for them as well?

Thanks,
DF

I confirm this same behaviour every time I try to change settings on omweather also. I am running diablo. i got the applets back by selecting them again from the home menu. Status bar also got bonked by this too.

I am getting random desktop resets too since Diablo, but I disabled OMWeather as soon as I realized it was having issues with Diablo (Still installed, but not checked). I am running Large Statusbar clock, Personal Menu, Load Applet, the Advanced Backlight applet, and GPE Summary (latest build from Cobb).

I am using Modest with auto-retrieve as well.
