Combatdoc, sorry I should have read your post more carefully.

I originally stated "Week starts on Sunday" was in the latest daily. It is not. I will attach a patched version of the latest daily here.

This should be an option (possibly defaulting to the current locales).

With most calendar software I've used, this is configurable, so that week starts on Monday for me.

BTW, where does one submit bug reports and feature requests? I'm not sure I do that at the right place.

vinc17: In my patch it IS an option. It is a check item in the view menu, allowing you to selecting whether you want to the week to start on Sunday or not.

Question: if you have week start on Monday set in your locale, how does the drop down calendar show? Does it start on Monday?

If so, then I would say this can be classified as a bug, since on my machine the drop down starts on Sunday, but the GPE calendar doesn't.

I cannot find the latest version of these packages in the experimental repository mentioned earlier in this thread.

vinc17: Change the "experimental" line in the gpe repository to "daily" and the install will be fine. You can do this from within the package manager by editing the repository.

Fiferboy,

thank you for all of these patched versions. It's kind of a drag the Sunday/Monday thing hasn't been added to the main stream. I've installed from experimental and from daily and still no joy (unless I'm missing something.) I'll keep updating per your patches until then.

Thanks!
Frank

Frank,

The Sunday/Monday patch is being considered on the GPE mailing list. It sounds like they want to make the default value the same as the locale, with an override in case you want it differently. I think I will take a look at my patch and see if I can add the default part if the user hasn't overridden the setting. Hopefully it will get accepted then.

Good news! The "weeks starts Sunday" patch is in the latest daily build. Hopefully this will make it into the next version in the extras repository. Try it out!
