Thank you so much for calling me a liar. I hate to disabuse you of your delusion that everyone must be unhappy because you are, but my n900 is just fine. Still working exactly as I expected it to, and not a single thing has gone wrong. Like, apparently, over 60% ofthe respondents to your poll.

I am very much impressed with the multitasking. I was streaming bbc live earlier and browsing at the same time. The n900 is much like a computer to me. At only £349 (thanks to discount coupons), this is quite a bargain. I cant wait to startmcranking out apps for this black BEAST

I guess it would depend on your tolerance. Since there's no way of indicating whether the other 30% have been major issues or a single unplaned reboot or hang... 70% with no problems at all is pretty good.

Remember to take into account signal strength for 3G in terms of battery drain. One of the rooms where I work will kill my N95 8GB if it has Fring on in ~5 hours where it normally lasts 12 hours....

But in terms of my N900, I've got the following widgets activated:

Calendar
Facebook
RSS
Weather
Location
CPU and Mem
Media and Google (but I don't think they suck power)

Got mail via exchange and imap to ovi with default settings and Skype.

Light usage* over the course of the day from 7am till nearly 12.00am and I had a sliver of red left on the battery bar

*Very little web browsing, mostly checking my exchange mail when I was away from the desk. Actually mostly I was fiddling with it coz it my new baby and showing it off to people.

That is wild. I disable all apps using task killer on Droid, but some still pop back up. Been using Flash a lot on the N900, so that is probably the difference. Droid does not have to deal with it.

I got rid of widgets, since they seem an unnecessary battery drain. I prefer the app shortcuts. Use em' when you need em' and less power drain.

Also, some people consider problems to be things like the slow, crude email client, not necessarily crashing/rebooting. I'd take the poll with a grain of salt.

I'd have assumed people with that sort of problem would have chosen "It's not what I expected" - as in that's how it's supposed to work but they find it clunky and cumbersome. My last phones were a n95 and a c905 - the email on n900 is a doddle after that.

Good point, but I would guess most people would pick the pleased option over the not what I expected option since it kind of implies you don't like the device/OS. The question is really too complicated for a 5 choice poll.
