Current mod is already awesome!

Is it possible to do the mod not only for SMS conversations but also for IM (i.e. Skype Chat)?
For making it look a little bit more shinyshiny, you think its possible to create something like speaking bubbles? maybe (colored) 3D shine effect?
(Yeah, like that dumbphone that is no more but stylish ;-) )

Anyone knows why it doesn´t work to put the modified files into
/home/user/.local/share/rtcom-messaging-ui/html?

Putting the custom statusarea icons into
/home/user/.local/share/*
worked perfectly...

Does this modification clear existing conversations?

in short: no.
it's only the style how the saved messages are shown on the phone.
the worst thing would be a black screen if an error is in one of the files but you can restore the backupped original files every time you want.
in short again: you can't screw up your system. ^^

the IM window is actually easier as this one beause you don't have to modify the js-file at all. (the avatar is already shown)
you only have to modify the html (veeeeeeeeeryyyyyyyyy simple). give it a try. open my modified file next to the orignal one and look at the differences. (:
the css is easy to modify as well. just check the differences and you'll see how easy this actually is.

(try it your self. it's not that hard. just play around with the files. you can't damage your phone. (remember to take a backup or you have to ask somebody to upload the files xD)

of course it's possible. naba (the rtcom-member) mentioned that it's going to be fully themeable. with easy-to-do-themes-on-your-own. but i will take a look at what is possible right now if i have some freetime.

has someone done this to IM messages? I tried several times but i didnt get other avatar to right side, damn i got it to all other places
