Really nice update. I would love it you can save your own creations Also what you make with the piano.

I also noticed that the bmp is half what is should be

Cheers, I assume you mean the bpm. I'm not a musician so probably did not notice , will have a look at this before I push to extras testing.
Currently Maesynth will remember the beats you have entered, but you cant save them in your own file name.I decided not to have save files for this release as I was looking at if there are any standards for saving beat files. Would you know? Otherwise any views on what we can call the file extensions .mp16 maybe

New version isn't working for me:

$ /opt/maesynth/maesynth.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/opt/maesynth/maesynth.py", line 6, in <module>
from soundstub import MainWindow
File "/opt/maesynth/soundstub.py", line 14, in <module>
from PyQt4.QtMultimedia import *
ImportError: No module named QtMultimedia

yes i mean bpm haha. Well there is kind of a standard which is the .midi file but I don't think this is possible. It's not really for savind projects. Maybe an extension like .msp? MaeSynth Project

Is it by the way possible to port real pc music production software?

msp sounds like a good idea. Saving files as midi is probably a bit ambitious for the moment.

Porting real PC software is not really a good idea as we need to have finger friendly UI.

I have been looking at using a midi library like wildmidi, but this does not have python bindings.

Have you got PR1.2 an extras development turned on?
Also the first time you run it, it seems like it does not run then pops up

opps left the import in from playing around with QAudio. Removing, and new version coming up, with fixed BPM also.
