For USA, we'd download USA.

And yes, you could even flash with the UK version, if you wanted, as far as I know.

But it's more relevant to download the USA version. You can wait a day, or so, right?

I have already flashed my n900 with the global pr1.2...i hope this doesn't cause me any problems.

I'd be worried about losing FM transmitter by flashing other than US firmware.

I see fm transmitter in my settings while running global pr1.2

He means using firmware from places where FMTX is illegal.

For example, if you were to use Hong Kong firmware, which is impossible without a Hong Kong IMEI, the FMTX would not be visible, unless you used fmtx faker, or something.

I had my device on OC 900mhz , its been running good since then . Should I have to flash it b4 go to an update ?? any suggestion Please ..

Blaxx in howardforums said that flashing to us firmware can use keyboard issues. This is what he wrote in the maemo section of howardforums. "Be careful, next time you flash your N900, it's a good idea to use the Global release. A previous firmware version's USA image messed up the keyboard layout slightly"
