Thanks!
No custom kernel. Probably will try that too. Doing some more experiments, will post the batterygraph soon.

Well, it's not that it's not doing anything. Maybe the title is misleading, all this time it was connected to the Internet via WiFi and checking for mails via Nokia Messaging. I had the LED alerts disabled though.

I only have the option of choosing 2G, 3G or dual from my status area and although there is a mild increase in battery life with 2G it is still nowhere near what you are reporting.

The only widgets/running things that use internet with any regularity is default mail client checking gmail every 30min + the weather widget.

I can easily get through a day of uni/work without recharging with moderate use but no way could I make it more than 24 hours. Would love to know your secret.
I am still experimenting but my theory is one or all of these things helped.

1. Reflash with PR 1.2
2. Resetting my WiFi router, and setting it to only connect on G protocol. There is a possibility that some setting on the Wifi router was causing excessive traffic or drain on the N900 when connected to WiFi.
3. Switching from IMAP to Nokia Messaging. This maybe one big reason I think
4. Keeping the phone on 2G instead of 3G, 2G is good enough for me!
5. No widgets at all currently. I presume a widget which checks every 4 hours should not make much difference.

Thanks.
Do we need also to reflash the eMMC?

even timed with light load, a few hours of calling, 1-2 hours of Wifi browsing and I am getting 2 1/2 days.
WoW man thats super cool..................
but its hard to believe that u are getting 21/2 days with(a few hours of calling, 1-2 hours of Wifi browsing)this kind of usage.......

are you sure that u have'nt changed any other settings???

2 hrs on wifi drains my battery by 20-30%....
1 hr of music-drains upto 5-10%
30mins video-drains upto 10-20%
my wifi is off,2G all the time,GPS offbrightness-2bars

At the end of the day only 20-30% will be remaining with light-moderate use

am i missing something?

Well, yesterday i've reflashed the phone with fresh PR 1.2 but nothing has change.

This is the actual configuration:
1) 3G always enabled
2) Internet connection on 3G with Skype and GTalk active
3) Foreca Widget (2 hrs refresh)
4) GMail IMAP (30 mins refresh)
5) 20 mins of phone call
6) 40 mins of bluetooth headphone connected.

Attached you can see the battery graph, i see that processor is still used all the time, despite the fact that from 10.30 to 13.30 i have all the time the screen locked.

Maybe i should try the undervolted kernel from Titan?

Thanks, tested it. Wifi works with 10 mW, but transmit rate is a bit weaker and latency increases. It could still be worth it, if battery life increases 20-30 % with it.

Here's a screenshot from batterygraph if anyone is interested. CPU is in complete sleep when idling as you can see.
my graph is never as flat as this! I have to recharge my phone every night as it's usually around 10-20% I had autodisconnect installed but found it sometimes would casue the phone to "get stuck" the 8" isn't long anough to connect on dual. my email is check every 30 mins thats two email accounts but I spend all of the day on 2g. would you peeps think a day is ok or should I be getting more?

My CPU is never erm flat or not shown when idle I always have the purple bit of noise at the bottom in battery graph, normal?

- Wifi search interval set to "never"
- GPS disabled
- Few widgets on the desktop (weather&stepcounter)
- Bluetooth disabled

Is there anything to improve?

Where did you change that wifi transmit power?
what country do you live in??? unlimited 3 euro data plan???wow

I did not reflashed the eMMC, but still got the improvement.

pfontana77: Try to keep your phone offline for a while and see how fast it discharges without 3g. If it still going as fast there could be some improvement to do..

Spotfist: As you can see, that noise is not necessity or a feature. I guess that thread author hasn't got it either.

jorjino: I reflashed the MMC as well, after taking a backup. I read somewhere on the forum that it does help, so when I re-flashed I did the eMMC too.

Spotfist: Yes, pretty much all the things I did. I am still experimenting, with some things, my observation is that if you are seeing battery usage as close to 0% in Batterygraph, while idle you can have pretty amazing standby time. One other thing, I changed my SIM card earlier, before 1.2, the earlier one was scratched and did say "SIM not found" once in a while.
