I'm in north Texas, linuxrebel.

And thanks for that link, it was very informative. In fact, the more I learn, the more discouraged I am about doing something formal. It just seems like so much work, and possibly expenses. Maybe I'll just focus on helping zerojay with jablet...

Ok, the Ovi store barrier to individual developers has me wondering if this can't be resurrected.

I recently started the maemo daemons LinkedIn group with exploring business opportunities in mind, but I also see a need still for a nonprofit Linux Device Users Group (LDUG) as originally outlined. I just don't have the knowledge required for doing this globally, as it needs to be done.

So I'm hoping with all the new members we have someone can help me get this ball re-rolling. Who has expertise with setting up / running nonprofit (esp open source) organizations?

I have zero experience with linux, and for the next six months little opportunity to learn (Damned thesis). But if you ever go for a community/forum, I have 8 years experience as mod/admin in various places (and one place for 8 years so impeccable references!) And I can probably throw the odd fiver your way if this floats.
