Titan's kernel is perfectly simple. You are not compelled to screw around with numerous options; that's something you can do if you are obsessive, like most here. You should just skim the overclocking docs, especially Jakiman's guide.

lol well.. after a power kernel installation you run 4 commands and you never has to do anything else :P my phone automaticly boots with the profile i want after those 4 simple easy commands.

btw.. titans kernel has a function that reverses the settings in case your n900 starts rebooting and dont like your OC settings, nice if you wannar keep your n900 from burning its cpu

As people have said Titan's kernel got lots of advantages, and if you just want to overclock to a single profile all the time it is just a few terminal lines once and it is set the way you want forever, there is not much point in flashing one of the oldschool fixed overclock kernels.


ps:by overclocking you might be reducing the lfe of your device (not necesserally of the processor chip itself, other components get stressed out by the OC as well) and increasing the likelyhood of loosing data; if you wanna know more about it, go to the IRC channel and ask about it (aparently there is lots of misinformation in this regard flying 'round the forum making lots of people defend the flawed idea that OCing is always perfectly safe)

She just wants to try the hardest way, jeje...
Seems like an experienced user (maybe even developer or jacker), so I think more attempts to convince her are useless...
It would be interesting to know about her progress on this issue...

I got a the 950Mhz kernel, after translating a whole chinese sight, and checking off numerous sushi ads. Still looking for the 1000MHz

Yes, yes, sure. I am waiting for Lehto's response. If not, then I guess I'll have to recompile my own custom kernel, and I won't give it to any of you, MWAHHHAHHHAHHA

Then I'm glad I don't use FCam, but I'm going to install it right now, since I have mine OC'ed at 950MHz.
