I had a similar problem. I had to log into facebook and remove foursquare as an authorized app. Then log into Fouresqure's website and remove, then re-add the Facebook connection.

After that, my checks ins are able to go back to facebook again.

Any updates on the status of the app??

Here are a few ideas for features to be implemented (if ever) in future updates:
- NOTIFICATIONS - as you may know, FourSquare now has notifications on its website (as well as in other non-Nokia devices)
- TIPS - the possibility to add and click the "I've done this"
- PHOTO CHECK-IN
- COMMENTS - the possibility to comment on check-ins
- More details on check-ins, such as: people also here, points awarded, how many days until you are mayor etc.

Hi, I'm a bit sad. Lovely Nelisquare, on my N900 stopped working.
It seems to start o.k., the screen flashes, then only a blank screen is displayed. Have re-installed it, but that did not help.

Has anyone experienced this issue? and if yes, did you manage to resolve it.

Will flash my N900 and reload Nelisquare to check whether any ofmy other installed apps is causing the issue, when I have some spare time.

Try this in xterm
cd <enter>
ls -al | grep -i square

Then look for any results like .nelisquare or something that would contain personnel settings that would not be purged as part of a reinstall. Once you find the directory, do a rm -Rf on it.

Hallo, thank you for your assistance.

I tried your suggestion, but t did not help.

So I re-read the whole tread again, and discovered that I have not installed libqtm-11 yet. I Installed it and....Nelisquare is working again.

Enjoy

The command is just searching your home directory for any hidden (hidden as in prefaced by a "." before the directory name) direcotories that may contain Nelisquare user settings data.

There very well may be no such directory in $HOME, as Nelisquare might contain your user data in it's installation directory. But if it does hold some configs in your home directory, that data would not be erased when you remove the package so problems left over from previous installs would not be cleared by a reinstall of the package.

This is just common trouble shooting practice for any Linux app, not just Nelisquare. However, the above poster indicated that no such $HOME conifg directory in fact exists for Nelisquare so I think it's normal for the above command to come back empty.

That just means that removing an re-installing this app does in fact purge any previous Nelisquare settings and any functionality problems you have with Nelisquare are caused by something else.

I had the same problem of nelisquare just showing the blank screen to rectify
1. Open the terminal window
2. Login as a root
3. run "apt-get install libqtm-11"

and there you go... i had an issue with QTMobility.location not being installed and it helped me solve thhe problem
