Trying to set the BP image as a Background Image doesn't help
Hmm.. found nothing in the code or cyan images themselves that could cause it. I cannot reproduce the problem on my device :/

If you have rootsh installed you could do this in xterm:
sudo gainroot
rm -rf /home/user/.backgrounds/*.*

and then go to desktop editing mode and try to set some other wallpaper like nseries. If that works, then try to run the plastic setup again.

I'll do that shortly....meanwhile please note that after uninstalling addon pack and rebooting, it still appears in the list of options in BP Setup.

*edit* note that I can use other, non-BP wallpapers freely with BP theme. But the only BP background available within BP theme, is the 'deleted' cyan one.

It didn't work. I'll uninstall the BP package and reinstall.

After uninstallin BP + addons make sure everything is deleted by typing this into terminal:
sudo gainroot
rm -rf /usr/share/themes/blackplastictheme-themedir

Does anyone else has this problem after installing the theme which I am having?

When I long-press on an item such as an email in Modest or a song in media player to bring the context or shortcut menu, the first item in the menu gets selected too quickly. I have to time my long-presses like a ninja to keep the context menu open and then select an item from it.

Are you sure you're doing it right? You're not suppose to lift up your finger at any point of the process. Push the item, keep it pressed til the menu appear, select the item without lifting your finger (slide it), release the finger at the item you want to be selected.

found a minor problem. I enabled liquid cyan to try it out. I switched back to Black but the backgrounds stays at cyan. I've tried switching to other colors but the background stays at cyan unless i manually change each screen to the image of my choice

I have to agree that I'm also having significant problems with wallpapers in general since I installed the latest update and the add-on pack about 15 hours ago.
