Here is my way of registration worked :
required :Wife or friend android phone and n9
1 - remove the whatsapp account from the android phone then remove the sim(wife or friend)from the android phone
2 - connect this phone to a wireless network and register it without sim on whatsapp using your number that was placed in n9 already
3 - An sms should be arrived to the n9 phone ,if no try the button call me in the android phone ..the n9 rings and you get the 3 digit code .
4 - in wazzap (enter code manualy)
Done you are registered in wazapp

Here is my report on 8.1RC

I did a fresh install (the previous installations were all messed up, 3 accounts , could not sync contacts anymore). So i remove every file and clean-installed it.

Registration failed, but gave no reason (sorry, forgot to dump teh console output). I registered with my previous code with no problem.

I synced all contacts, got couple of "wazapp not responding, kill it?" but i allowed it to do its business. After that all my contacts where there, with pictures and everything.

UI feels light and really responsive, it seems performance has improved from previous releases (could also be due to the new fastern9).

New UI improvements rock!!

Tested sounds and work as expected, silent profile included.

Only one minor annoyance, incoming msg don't auto-scroll, outgoing msg autoscroll to the previous msg. I don't know if that is happening to anybody else.

All in all, you're doing a great job!! I wish the stock msg was anything close to the Wazapp UI...

en nog een klein vraagje , wat is nou beter om te gebruiken Tgalal versie of die van Cepi ?? heb nu de versie erop staan van Cepi versie 15092012-1835.deb bij de laatste 1305.dep krijg ik geen foto's meer binnen , dus ben ik terug gegaan.....hoop dat je me opweg kunt helpen Ruud @ fijne dag

Why does Wazapp need to enumerate all my phone contacts everytime a message is received? The lag is so immense.

@Anthony kan je niet DM'en en heb je email adres niet. laatste .deb is alweer offline gehaald vanwege het max. aantal van 200 testers. DM ff je email als dat lukt, dan stuur ik hem door.

Ik gebruikte zelf Cepi's versies, werkte aardig goed over het algemeen, maar heb ondertussen weet ik hoeveel versies gebruikte steeds de meest recente.

it's fascinating to follow this development... thanks so this work...

so far i can't find a lot of issues at the moment... but still a few small ones...

- can't update profile or group picture at the moment

- sending audio files: we should have the possibility to search in folders... at the moment its sorted by album i guess. but i don't know why it shows quiet more the my media player. some of them are empty. going to an album and then using the back arrow brings me to message screen not back to album list... should be managed in a better way.

- i like the refresh button in contacts now and also the idea to implement sync etc. but i also liked the number of contacts i have in wazapp. this way i knew if someone new has whatsapp when i sync contacts and the number increases.



a nice feature for the future would be the possibility to send pictures from google search. what do you guys think of this?

Vibration persist while in-chat and while wazapp running in the background, even when turned off in the settings
