Trump just doesn't want to go after the media...
He has a thing about crushing and destroying any and all who oppose him.
There have been enough accounts of it.

What happens when a tyrant gets a hold of how everyone voted for ..and against him...
With access to all that voter data ...and the technology today...how much worse can he make the lives of people who oppose him..?

His access to voter information ...whatever leader's access to voter information ...would turn whatever nation.... into a tyranny ..

Well, I'm not following Trumph on a daily basis. So he is hunting down voters now? Will be intresting to see if voters like that 2020.

Absolutely!

I have always assumed that the system was set up such that it was impossible to abuse it in this way, for exactly that reason. That all that anyone could find out was what whether Joe Bloggs voted or not, but not how.

I think the current us-voting thingy is about the former case, to find out if John Doe voted or not. Even that is sensitive info IMHO; as people have the right to vote, they also similarily have the reason to abstain and it is nobody's right to know which was the case.

The current administration's motivation might be to find out what demographic did or did not vote, to strengthen their own base and weaken the opposition come next election.

Also, it is a known-good tactics to go in baby-steps when establishing a dictature, it is a fishing tactique where the opposition is weared out by nipping freedoms out here and there, a little by little...

First get to know who voted and who not, then maybe later find out how they voted and why.

Final Dieselgate Countdown is on (at least for me). Touareg turned in yesterday, now the countdown is on for EFT to our bank account. I'm still bummed about the whole deal all around.

And a VW exec was warned by his lawyer not to leave Germany, since other countries, including other EU members, would probably honor US arrest warrant. It's no idle threat -- another exec got collared on vacation in Miami earlier this year.

Well, then the president of US should be arrested as well and possible also any head of state that messing with air/water. He is Germany today. Put him in coal mine for a day or two
