The German Nokia page says it is avaible now, although in the store itself you only can preorder...

That's the nokia retail website.
Can't talk about other countries, but for me Nokia's own net shop here has always been overpriced(you can walk to any near mobile phone shop and buy it at least 10 euros cheaper)and phones haven't been available any sooner than from anywhere else.

interesting about is that the N900 isn't in the list of "soon to be available" models nor in the list of "actual models"
you can only see it if you choose "all models"
really fascinating
Not seeing any exclusivity in the US- yet, anyways.
