I don't really understand why people think it will be announced in Australia.
Like mece said whatever the device(s) will be it will announced in Nokia Connection. Nokia might seem like brain dead at times, but they are not so stupid that they would "disrupt" market in Australia while they got "years most important event" in Singapore at the exact same day.

They will have same kind of event all around the world for people to get a glimpse of the actual hw. It's not the first time.

Btw if this ends up being N9 you can't blame Elop for not hyping it up.

Interesting. It's announced from Australia?

I suspect it is Nokia X7 , soon to be released in Australia, check their website. Nokia.com.au

I know that Eldar is not appreciated here, but look what he tweeted:

June 21 nokia will launch last maemo device. Nokia will produce 92000 devices for all countries. I'm not interested in so niche device
He still insists on quantity, it makes me wonder where that came from. And Maemo part - off course it is last, all future disruptive devices supposed to be MeeGo based. Conclusion - nothing new from Eldar.

For me it seems like Eldar doesn't know about the nondeveloper phone... or there is no "consumer device".

Eldar is pretty much spot on usually about the devices released (while he does add all kind of fud). Would be nice to prove Eldar totally wrong if they will announce dev and consumer device at 21.

Has the Meego name been approved for use on Harmattan? May be Maemo might live on with Harmattan...

I heard the same.

The same people however have not said anything about the consumer device. I don't know if they really don't know about it either or just try to keep me in the dark... Which is ofcourse impossible because the TRUTH can be found on TMO.
