hmm well i tried to do it again with the ko file from the psfreedom gui and it gave me an error when using cat default_payload_3_41.bin > /proc/psfreedom/payload.
now when i ssh'ed into the proc directory i did not see any psfreedom folder....

Do you have wget installed? Did it download the .bin file successfully?

now when i ssh'ed into the proc directory i did not see any psfreedom folder....
It sounds like you still don't have the kernel modules loaded properly. Doesn't psfreedom-enable-n900.sh work?

yeah the bin file downloaded fine and i do have wget installed. also the jailbreak works fine with the ./psfreedom-enable.sh command

edit:
when i try the cat command it says cannot create nonexistent directory

Well, I don't know what the issue is. There should be /proc/psfreedom if the kernel module is loaded correctly.

Hi all,
does is it only compatible with omap and V40 kernel ?
or v37 is compatible too ? ( extra repository only propose v37 power kernel )

It's for omap1 and power40 atm, yes.

Try this:
* Start the PL3 using de GUI.
* Then start the terminal and become root and type:
"cat default_payload_3_41.bin > /proc/psfreedom/payload" (without ")
*JB your PS3
*Stop the PL3 using the GUI.

Any chance we can get the "PS3Yes" thing in our n900 payload so we can connect to psn?

I am trying this as we speak, likely will not finish before work tonight, but I will update tomorrow.

Unfortunately that is not all we need, as per the author's comments (at the source):
This is for the payload’s only and is independent of devices, my next guide will cover compiling the kernel & the kernel module, they are what are device dependant.

Hopefully I can figure that out.
