Sure

I just want to remind that a beginner is someone who is new to developing for the Maemo/MeeGo Harmattan platforms and developed their first release (there's that term again) during the competition time frame. I got into a discussion tonight that something like a QML app should be eligible for a beginner if it is the first time using QML. That could be talked about for future competitions, but not for this one I'm afraid - it's much too late. Think of the rule as there to encourage new developers onboard the Maemo/MeeGo train.

Absolutely

One thing we do ask in the rules is that a feature freeze is put on for the period of voting. Bugs can be fixed, are welcome to be fixed, and carry on developing ofcourse But we ask that voting is done on the features present on the version of the application available at the deadline.

This is to avoid the "I'll vote for you if you add X feature" problem.

Screens for splat it: http://db.tt/nw6zkTPA

IMO, the dev should concentrate on making one good entry instead of 3 buggy onces.

the first one reaction challenge installed ok but you have the errors from terminal which i am not too sure about...

Targets is way too buggy to qualify, portrait mode had half cut off dialog boxes and both orientations don't have proper buttons for more info and exit... Those buttons are just unlabeled...And this is without mentioning the lack of icon on the launcher and the need for me to open it only via terminal... It has many files missing hence the screen i got is dissimilar from the example one kojacker posted...

Splat it installed fine and works too so this can qualify IMO...what splat it lacks is a proper coherent game performance... Right now it looks like a rushed job without optimization for the device...

have a look at all my screens from the 3apps and I am quite sure you will come to similar conclusions as if the app doesn't even appear on the n950 launcher it surely must be looked into seriously... Maybe the dev can enter these two apps but fix the n950 bugs before voting begins...

Please don't take the above in a negative way; I am just giving my frank and honest opinion...

Ive uploaded version 0.0.7, details here so this should be the version to use in the competition. I wont add the 'Lobby' feature just yet as has been suggested on the thread, though it sounds quite fun! Im gonna give up on getting the server to send email notifications (for tonight) it seems google though that the server login was suspicious and rejected it, and i cant be bothered finding either an open smtp relay or some other email service...im certainly not gonna pay for something

OK then, submitted - and as there is still about 15 minutes left, I wonder who will be the last one to submit.

BTW, the submission form seems to be eating leading whitespace so I've also send the text as an email attachment.

EDIT: TIMEOUT
