Profit? I didn't read anything about profits, cash down to 3564m. Of course they can survive like that for quite a while (another ~1.5 years), their smartphone business is not that relevant anymore, could as well just give it up, save all the marketing expenses and research.

Sales on the Lumia series drop 27.5%, they "only" lost 738 million or so this quarter... and the stock went up?

Am I missing something?

could be related to Google's "disappointed" report? toghter with nokias result was better than expected?

Google did a huge positive result, but lost major stock value. Nokia did a huge lose and a small increase in stock value.

That just shows how strange/Sick stock market is

Revenues have declined almost 50 percent since the fourth quarter of 2010 when the company CEO changed the company’s direction by tying up with Windows Phone in an attempt to compete with Apple and Samsung. But his strategies failed miserably.
Looks like the M'Hael will have to rely on his Asha'men a little while longer.

Even if they did build Meltemi as we've heard of, they'd probably lock off the WM so tight it'd end up being a smartphone light. It wasn't supposed to threaten the Windows Phone segment.
