I don't believe we will hear about Harmattan or MeeGo from Nokia after these announcements as long as N9 isn't huge success.

New and fresh Nokia Connection rumor is that we will "only" see RM-680 and newer Symbian anna devices announced. In other words no consumer device?
yes i know that things has changed i just wanted to keep hopes up for better future.

if they are going to announce only to dev device then ill simply dont know what to think about Nokia :|

Like i said just a rumor so don't jump on anything yet. More like something to keep this thread on the topic.

Really hope we would see consumer device next week but i could see them showing the UI on the event and announcing dev device while the consumer device would be released in September, announcing it next month.

Has anyone already mentioned this? Nokia's Meego twitter account has tweeted for the first time since December:

Rumours of my Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

Well, if they announce a dev device, at least they should say how one can acquire it. Otherwise it's just dumb.

What could be safely labeled as 'disruptive' without being the butt of every bloggers' joke by the end of the announcement?

- extraordinarily low cost (device cost? licensing cost? apps cost?)
- availability? (boom, the device, devkit and app store will be available from afghanistan to zimbabwe on every operators the very next morning)
- some special form factor? (mobile + tablet + desktop in one?)
- extreme compatibility? (android, symbian and wp7 vm preinstalled?)

It can't be just a meego handset on some souped up spec.
That's not disruptive enough to not be a joke.

We know some of the specs already, nothing too crazy, except for the "never before seen patented technology".

UX/OS must be really that good then.

Some form of mind-control could be used for operating the symbiote/device in conjunction with its electrostatic stimuli?
