Reinstall the xserver-xomap with rotation, nokia haven't updated it in a long while

. It prefers debs in repositories over local versions installed by deb files. Even though it is the same version, the xserver-xomap you have no longer has the xrandr extension. If the advanced brightness applet isn't showing rotation anymore, it means that the xrandr extension isn't available.

After apt-get clean, update, install... from my mmc2 on my N800 and rebooting the device, the mmc2 and flash both show 4.2008.30-2.
Even I did not try to update the OS from flash. Also bootmenu doesn't change.
So it looks like we can do one shot update from mmc2 if we have dual booting.

After which I successfully booted into immc2 and was greeted by a cheery "System update successful" or some such thing
Control panel now shows 2.2008.30-2
I'm really quite pleased! This is a great step forward in making the tablets more mainstream/user friendly
