Did you untar the rootfs to your mounted partition using tar -jxvf??
If so, try chmod a+rx /init and see if that helps.

Are you sure you unpacked rootfs to internal card partition 3?

Do this only work on an n810?

Has anyone else installed this on an n800?

Thanks solca for this port.
It did not work on my n800.
The green thing blinks and blinks and then restarts the device (probably the watchdog?)
I'm going to fetch the verbose kernel.

People with N770 and N800 please test the new debugging kernels at the downloads section and report back.

Just a quick question - which partition for the 770?

First let see if it runs the kernel, it must end with a kernel panic if there is not /init on mmcblk0p3.

BTW which partition options are for the N770?

I'm using a separate card ('cause the maximum is 2GB, so 0p1 for me

I tried for a week to get a 8GB sdhc running, but to no avail yet

How to connect to the device with adb - it only shows white screen with Nokia logo on it for 20-30 seconds, then goes off.

The kernel when booting should show you a Tux image at the top, this probably means that it didn't even boot the kernel, will try making a new one.

UPDATE: please test new kernel for N770 (v2)
