So, what happened to the REALISTICALLY part of the title thread ? People seem to have switched to pure wishlist mode... Now, to set a few things straight:

• It's OMAP3, so not A9, multicore

• It's OMAP3, so speeds above 600 to choose from are 720MHz, 800MHz and 1GHz

• HD output will be tricky business as there is just one high res output and that's tied to the LCD - so it will be a switch/choose mode, you can't have simultaneous LCD and HDMI/whatever output

• Multitouch - it has been mentioned just far too often in connection to Maemo 6 to expect anything else. Resistive would be a surprise as I don't think Nokia will experiment in unproven (regardless of how promising) tech for it's first mainstream maemo device.

• microusb OTG - deal with it. They might leave a backdoor for hackers, but considering regulations and standards, it won't come with host mode 'out of the box'

I remember I saw somewhere that EU officials are pushing it to be mandatory by 2012 now when all the major players agreed. Tho that would be giving an unfair advantage to some technology so it might fail if taken to a court.

I'm more inclined to adding an additional USB OTG-enabled port for those purposes. To hell with the USB consortium document.

You can cram, for example, a digital compass into a SD card and have your device use it through SDIO - it would be harder to cram it into a micro SD. Consider it a poor-man's extension card

As for the size, almost all micro SD cards come with an adapter so they could fit into a full SD readers, so it's not an issue - well, at least not when you buy new cards be it for your other devices or for 'N920' itself.

I would like to see the limitation causing the need to optify done away with.

I think the N900 is pretty darned good and I don't expect that much from the N920.

Multitouch, capacitive don't seem that appealing to me. Decent text to speech and Audible compatibility would be nice. (Hey, the Kindle has Audible compatibility and it's Linux.)

The only thing I'm missing is maemo6 and a faster cpu.
I can't see any use for multi touch (for me).

One thing no-one mentioned yet would be NFC. Symbian roadmaps are full of it and Nokia has been trumpeting it for a long time now so that's not even completely unrealistic.

There won't be an N910 and probably won't be a N940 or beyond. It has to do with superstition, in a way. People won't go for an N950 because it basically says "hey, we're almost to the next version, if you buy this you will regret it". The N920 says "this is a small improvement on the N900". The N910 would basically be announcing itself as the bug-fix version.

Most realistic thing I want from the N920? For it to come out as a tablet.

It has been strongly suggested by Nokians on the dev lists /opt is considered a temporary solution. It's unclear as to whether the NAND will be used through some middleware layer to merge partitions, or if it will be used for swap as it's supposedly faster than the eMMC. Coincidentally, this might be one of the stumbling blocks of why it's not trivial to put Maemo6 on a N900.

I'd want the n920 to be waterproof with a powerful laser, so that I could strap it to a shark :-)
