I have installed the widget but dont seem to have the option to add it, and then add a script.
Any ideas?

Current version is 0.4, uploaded to extra last night at 3a.m. (UTC+1)..
@liedekef:
That could solve the problem momentarily but then u have to be clicking on it all the time.. which then beats the purpose of periodic/@network updates.
I'll check the multiple instances possibility.. =]

Great, I'll update asap!
For the multiple lines: you can still keep the auto-update of your command as usual, this method would just allow for quick changing of commands and would require one extra "click" when you want the command updated immediately, no biggie I believe. Anyway, I'm happy with this tool as it is :-)
Btw: how can I vote for this app, so it gets in the extras repo asap?

Hi nex,
First, maybe the proper place to file a bug may be here since the app is not yet on extras and the extras-devel page resets at each upload.
Here come some questions:
a) after everything, installing it again causes any harm?
b) any other "devel" widgets? (I assume you have reasons to believe this app was the source of problems)
Now, some revelations:
I observed the pretty much the same "bug" as you, but I just added widget by widget (after reboot or not) and everything works fine now..
I'm somewhat puzzled by this bc whatever handles widget-related stuff was copied from personal-ip-address/countdown-home-widget/personal-gprs-counter or the like.. so if the bug was on one of those, I just propagated.... or.. I did something bad on the app myself.
Sorry for the inconvenient, this app is somewhat experimental and that's why I never upped to extras-testing. What I can say to help is that it works OK with PR1.1 (after this glitch).
I'm kinda without time to work on the app recently, I expect to work on it next week..
(Also, I already figured out a way to enable width management.. =])
Well.. any other info around this bug may be useful..
Thanks nex!

Hi,
I just got around to retrying this.
1) Installed desktop-cmd-exec, and immediately I couldn't access the desktop menu where you add widgets/shortcuts. The little cog icon would appear, I'd click on it, the Desktop menu would appear but it would not be clickable.
2) Rebooted and all my icons on all 4 desktops apart from contacts and bookmarks disappeared.
3) Removed desktop-exec-cmd and rebooted and all was back to normal.
4) Then I remembered that I have personal-gprs-monitor installed so I wondered if this could be messing something up after re-reading your comment on how the widget code is the same. I removed it, rebooted, installed desktop-exec-cmd, but nothing changed. The issue described above was still there.
I do have experimental stuff installed, but how do I start checking what bothers what? I could start removing everything and retrying all the time.
Do you know of any way to easily get a list of apps I have installed from extras-testing and extras-devel? That way I can know what to uninstall.
Btw if it matters at all I'm using apt-get for all of this, not the Application Manager UI
